Located in the east area of the scenic spot, the Colorful Rape Flower Ocean of thousands of acres was jointly built by the scenic spot and the Institute of Economic Crops of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Every year, landscapes with different themes created with colorful rape flowers are used to show the magnificent picture of the integration of agriculture and tourism. As one of the four major oil crops in the world, the colorful rape flower field adopts a new planting mode of “Brassica & Flower & Honey & Oil”, with a yield of about 350 kg per mu. The multiple functions such as enjoying flowers, eating vegetables, making honey and squeezing oil empower its agriculture and cultural tourism, promote the integration of resources, projects and industries in the fields of cultural tourism and agriculture, accelerate the sustainable development of scenic spots and realize a new situation of rural revitalization.
